Elbert “Bert” Lee Till, 76, of Columbia, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, at Landmark Hospital surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Bert was born May 21, 1941, the son of Roy & Marcella “Sally” Abshier. He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris.  

Bert served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was an insurance agent for over 30 years. Bert was a long time member of Columbia Elks Lodge #594. He loved to fish and hunt, his Mizzou Tigers, and most importantly, his family.  He was very generous and loving to everyone he met. 

Survivors include his son, Trevor Till of Columbia; his daughter in-law, Amber Till; his beloved granddaughter, Aaralyn Till, his brother Luke Ulery of Vicksburg, MS, his dear friends Elizabeth Palmer-Stone, Roman Dombrovsky and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 15, 2017.  The family will receive friends from at 4:30 p.m. until time for the service.   Private burial will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery on Thursday.
