Zella Loraine (Bradley) Starke

Zella Loraine Starke, 90, Millersburg, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., November 30, 2024, at Praise Assembly of God Church, Columbia, Missouri.

Zella was born October 23, 1934, in Boone County to the late Walter Farley and Delima Elizabeth (Ware) Bradley.  She married Charles Bowling Starke in 1958, and he preceded her in death.  She was an active member of Praise Assembly of God.  She worked 20 years at Ellis Fishel Cancer Hospital and many more years at Regional Hospital in nursing. Zella had several jobs in her retirement years, but she was most devoted to working and living for her Lord Jesus. She was a Sunday school teacher in her church. Zella loved her family and friends dearly. She will be missed by all.

Zella is survived by her sons, Steven Earl Dupree (Debbie), George Russell Starke (Kathy) and David Dale Starke; a sister, Rebecca “Becky” Lynn (Bradley) Pounds; 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Edward Eugene Bradley, Walter Tall Bradley, James Farley Bradley; 2 sons, Scott Lee Dupree, and Newman Charles Starke; and 2 grandsons, Micheal Allen Starke and Bryan Dale Dupree.
