Virginia Carol Fisher, 81, of Columbia passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024.
Virginia was born May 25, 1942, in Centralia, Missouri, the daughter of the late Leslie Earl and Mary Jane (Ehler) Frazier. On July 27, 1960, she married Melvin Fisher in Millersburg, and he preceded her in death on January 5, 2021. Virginia graduated from Centralia High School after attending elementary school at Hallsville. She was a member of Broadway Christian Church in Columbia for over 50 years. She worked at Stephens College until, along with her husband, Melvin, they started Fisher Auto Service in 1976. She enjoyed gardening and needlework.
Virginia is survived by her children, Debbie Fisher of Osage Beach, Lt. Ron (Laura) Fisher and Carl (Debbie) Fisher, all of Columbia; brother, Leslie Eugene (Donna) Frazier; six grandchildren, Robert Richardson (Katie), Hannah (Will) Ryan, Samuel Fisher, James Fisher (Chase), Lily Fisher, and Jessica Fisher (Davis), and great-grandchildren, Abigail Ryan, Bennett Fisher, and Margaret Mae Ryan.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Linda Jane Frazier on March 20, 2011.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 27th at the Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel with a gathering of Family and Friends from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. Burial at Memorial Park Cemetery will follow the service.
