Thomas Michael Anderson
1950 – 2024

Thomas Michael Anderson, 73, of Columbia, passed away March 3, 2024, at the University of Missouri Hospital.  He was born in Bloomington, IL on November 11, 1950, a son of William Thomas and Linnie Josephine (Walker) Anderson.

Prior to retirement, Thomas was employed as a residential construction contractor, building and remodeling many homes over the years. In his younger years, he enjoyed working as a cowboy on a ranch in Montana.   His favorite pastimes were fishing, celebrating the 4th of July including fireworks and grilling, smoking cigars and most of all spending time with his family – especially his grandkids.

Those cherishing his memory include his wife. Kathleen Anderson; two daughters, Beth Ivy and husband, Jason and Sarah Anderson; three sons, Michael Horn, Joshua Anderson and William Anderson; a sister, Kelli Embry and husband, Mark; grandchildren, Alex Horn, Christian Ivy, Audrey Bain, Campbell Leaton, Dalton Ivy, Jace Vogt, Carter Ivy and River Ivy; niece and nephews, Val, Sydney and Walker and a brother-in-law, Don Boxer.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
