Steven Raymond Patton, 58, of Montgomery City, passed away Friday, March 18, 2022 at StoneBridge Home, Hermann, after an extended illness.
Steve was born in Mexico, Missouri, December 14, 1963, to the late Wiliam D. and Lillian L. Patton (Fry). Steve was married to Diana Smith from 1990 until 2019 and they lived in Montgomery City. Together they raised her son, Christopher. Kevin Brown was another special young man in Steve's life. He loved him as his own grandson.
He grew up most of his life in Laddonia and went to Community R-VI School and graduated in 1982. He worked for True Windows in Vandalia and Fowles Grain/Quincy Soybean as a laborer.
Steve loved playing and watching baseball (St. Louis Cardinals) and watching football (Dallas Cowboys). He played on many ball teams growing up and after graduation, with many close friends.
Steve is survived by one sister, Terry Schroer (Dale) of Rhineland; two brother-in-laws, Charles Dollens of Mexico and Donald Hancock (Monika) of Arizona; and several nieces, nephews and close friends.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Cheryl Dollens and Debbie Hancock and two brothers, Mark Patton and Greg Patton.
At Steve’s request, he was cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
