Stephanie Isaacs Obituary

Stephanie Gail Isaacs: February 19, 1981 - November 16, 2021

Stephanie Gail Isaacs passed away peacefully at Boone Hospital Center on November 16, 2021 from Triple Negative Breast Cancer.  She was only 40 years old.

Born in Columbia on February 19, 1981, she was a lifelong resident of Columbia, graduating from Rock Bridge High School in 1999. After graduation she attended cosmetology school and went on to co-found two Columbia salons before the age of 34, the most recent being the Trove Salon in South Columbia.

While preparing to open her first salon in 2003, she met with an attorney named Steve to have some business documents prepared. To hear her tell it, she left that meeting and immediately called her Mom and told her that it was love at first sight. She was determined to be with him, so she went to Shiloh where he hung out and sent him a drink. He accepted & the rest is history.

Steve & Stephanie rarely left each other’s side from that day forward and were married in Jamaica on September 10, 2005. Steve’s friends thought he had become a hermit because they rarely saw him after that.  “No offense.” he told them. It’s just that nothing else compared to hanging out at home with the love of his life.

In 2007 Stephanie gave birth to Vincent Cash Isaacs, their beloved son. She was so proud of Vincent, who has always been wise beyond his years.  When Stephanie was diagnosed with cancer in 2017, the first thing that Vincent (then age 9) asked her was, “What can I do to make you not be scared?”  She knew then and there that his empathy & compassion would take him to great heights someday. Although she was sad that she wouldn’t be able to see him grow up, she was so unbelievably proud of the young man that had blossomed before her eyes.

Stephanie is survived by Steve and Vincent, her mother Karen (Richard) Graham, brother & sister-in-law Kyle & Shawna Cook (Jackson & Cameron too), father Kenny (Sandy) Cook, her beloved dogs Champ & LuLu and countless more friends and family too numerous to list individually, but loved all the same.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Vincent & Naomi Zager and her step-father Karl Althage.

A Celebration of Life will be held December 11th, 2021 from 1-5 pm at Pressed, 803 E Walnut St Ste 601, in downtown Columbia.

A Go Fund Me has been established in her name, the proceeds of which will go to her son Vincent and the Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) Foundation.  https://www.gofundme.com/f/remembering-stephanie-isaacs?utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet&utm_medium=email&utm_source=customer-andr
