Stephanie Anne (Richards) Hughes

Stephanie (Richards) Hughes, 72, of Tipton, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2024, at Boone Hospital Center.

Stephanie was born on March 5, 1952, in Kansas City, Kansas, to the late Arthur and Shirley (Cole) Richards.  She was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church, Tipton. 

Stephanie was a devout Christian who loved singing gospel hymns, reading her bible daily, and sharing her favorite scriptures to others. Stephanie had a full heart, always teaching others how to pray and praying for friends and family – being the light in the dark.  Her faith in God stayed strong even during her battle with stomach cancer.  Stephanie made friends everywhere she went because she loved to make people smile.  She enjoyed writing short stories and poems about things that brought her great joy.  Stephanie enjoyed the sunshine, flowers, nature, and her family.  She looked forward to making memories with her family, especially during the holidays each year.  Stephanie enjoyed caring for others as seen through her nursing career. 

Stephanie is survived by her children, Tony Larm and Crystal Cope; grandchildren, Spencer, Hailey, and Ethan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 6, 2024, at St. Andrews Catholic Church, Tipton, Missouri with a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. and a visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. until time for the Mass.  Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Clear Creek, Missouri

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrews Catholic Church, St. John’s Cemetery, or American Cancer Society.
