Shirley Elizabeth (Stapleton) Roane

Shirley Elizabeth Roane, 69, passed away on April 19, 2025, at the Valley View Nursing Home in Moberly.

Shirley was born January 12, 1956, in Columbia, Missouri, to the late William Smith and Elmarnica Stapleton.

Shirley was a phenomenal woman who was brought up with two older brothers, Leon Stapleton and William Stapleton and a sister, Sharon Kay Stpleton. Shirley loved life and loved love. She was the one who made sure you knew right from wrong and did not have any problem telling you what was on her mind whether or not you accepted her truth or not, she was gonna let you know how she felt.  

Shirley is survived by three children, Deion Brown, Charles Bonwell and Tana Roland; brother, William Stapleton; two grandchildren, Dax and Erion; and cousin, Cythnia Umbles.

Shirley was also preceded in death by two siblings, Leon Stapleton and Sharon Kay Stapleton.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 p.m., May 17, 2025, at Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel.
