Ronald Dean Pickett

Ronald Dean Pickett, 75, went home to his Lord on January 21, 2023. 

Ron was born on August 10, 1947, in Davenport, Iowa to the late Woodrow and Clara (Summers) Pickett. On December 18, 1965, he married Janice Garrett in Columbia.  Ron was a member of CenterPoint Church and member of CenterPoint Men.  He was the ultimate servant – helping and serving anyone with a need.  He was employed as an auto body man for most of his career working in several mid-Missouri body shops.

Ron is survived by his wife, Jan; his children, Ronda Pickett of Columbia and Jeffrey (Cindy) Pickett of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; sister, Regena Harrison (Richard) of Columbia; grandchildren, Olivia and Sophia and honorary brother and sister, Bobby and Trisha Muff.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Missouri Heart Center or Brain Injury Association of America, c/o Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel, 1610 N. Garth Ave., Columbia, MO 65202. 

Family will gather at Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel on Saturday, January 28, 2023, from 2:00 – 3:00 P.M. with a funeral service immediately following at the funeral home.   A private family burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
