Roger Kaneer of Forest Green, went to be with the Lord on February 11, 2023, at 11:17 AM at the age of 72, while surrounded by his loved ones in the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
Roger was born at his parent’s home in Forest Green, Missouri on May 13, 1950. He grew up in Forest Green and attended high school in Salisbury, where he graduated in 1968. After graduation Roger attended State Tech of Saint Louis where he studied drafting. In 1969 Roger started working at SEMCO in Salisbury, eventually helping the business move to Columbia, where he met his wife, Nancy. They married on January 1, 1977.
Roger was a devoted husband and father and he had many hobbies; he enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on projects around his shop, and spending time with his family and friends. Roger had a brilliant mind- he loved figuring out how things worked.
Roger was proceeded in death by his Parents Harry and Esther Kaneer, two brothers- James and Calvin Kaneer, and one daughter-Jennifer Kaneer.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 46 years- Nancy Kaneer; two brothers –Bill Kaneer of Forest Green and Clyde Kaneer and wife Linda of Salisbury; his children Fadre Maun and husband Bryan of Columbia, Cynthia Miller of Holden, Tammy Stanford and husband Rick of St. Augustine FL., and Brian Kaneer and wife Mary of Glasgow; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Higbee Baptist Church in Higbee on Saturday, February 25 at 10:00 am.
A Celebration of life will be held at The Beak in Glasgow on Sunday, February 26 at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Higbee Baptist Church.
