Richard Eugene Wainscott

Richard Eugene Wainscott, age 77, of Boonville, passed away on December 18, 2025, at Osage Beach Rehabilitation in Osage Beach.

Richard was born on October 13, 1948, to Roland and Helen (Brockman) Wainscott. Richard served in the United States Army, for two years. Prior to retirement, Richard dedicated over 30 years of service with K-Mart retiring as store manager for K-Mart in Columbia and had also been employed with K-Mart in Jefferson City and St. Louis. Post-retirement, Richard loved spending time and traveling with his wife. It was most common to find him doing yard work or spending time with his grandchildren, Richard also enjoyed drinking a beer, partying and going to Las Vegas.

Richard is survived by his children, Eric Wainscott (Sharon), Amy Ivicsics (Bobby) and Matthew Studley (Necole); brothers, Kenny and Steve Wainscott; sisters, Linda Reed and Sandra Webster. Richard is also loved and remembered by nine grandchildren, Bailey, Brayden (David), Emma, Zack, Brandy, Christine, Josh, Paige, Connor; and ten great-grandchildren, Swae, Camden, Sophia, Holden, Carter, Greysen, Emerson, Gracelynn, Oaklee and Stetson. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Victoria, as well as one brother, John Wainscott.  

There will be a Celebration of Life held for Richard at a later date.
