Pinky Guinnip Obituary

Pinky Susan Guinnip, 82, of Hallsville, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Boone Health.

Pinky was born on May 1, 1939 in Columbia, the daughter of Harvey and Margaret Carlis Karney.  She was employed as a cook at the Minute Inn Diner and with the University Hospital & Clinics foodservice.  She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, puzzle books, reading mystery books and collecting cat figurines.  She also enjoyed fishing and was known to have fallen out of the boat on occasion. 

Pinky is survived by her children, Eddie Guinnip (Anna) of San Diego, California, Patrick Guinnip of Centralia, and Mary Brooks of Hallsville; siblings, Gene Karney of Columbia and Gertrude Ann Peterson (Bill) of Hallsville; nine grandchildren, Shane Guinnip, James Guinnip (Belinda), Matthew Guinnip, Brendan Guinnip, Shawn Taylor, Jason Lampkins, Brandon Guinnip and Wanda Rowden; six great grandchildren, Ayden Lampkins, Cadleigh Lampkins, Lilly Guinnip, Blair Guinnip, Wrenn Guinnip and Caleb Rowden.

Pinky was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mikel Lee Guinnip; daughter, Charlotte Kay Taylor and granddaughter, Brandy Lampkins.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Bach-Yager Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time for the service.  Burial will follow the service at the Oakland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Oakland Cemetery Association, c/o Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel, 1610 N. Garth Ave., Columbia, MO 65202.
