Patricia Sue (Skeen) VanBooven

A memorial service will be held at Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel at 10:00am, Monday, December 1, 2025. Visitation will precede the service, from 9-10am. Interment at Newman Center will follow the service.

Pat was born in Columbia, Missouri on April 23, 1939, to Ashley Glenn Skeen and Lillian Louise (Claxton) Skeen, who preceded her in death. Pat attended Hickman High School and Columbia College. Her professional life included employment with the Columbia Daily Tribune, Allergan Pharmaceuticals, Salton/Toastmaster, and MFA Incorporated.

On July 26, 1975, Pat married Ronald VanBooven. They shared 45 wonderful years together. They were avid Mizzou, St. Louis Cardinals, and Chiefs fans, and had a great group of friends with whom they regularly socialized.

Pat is survived by her children Cindy Jamieson (Tim), Kevin Thornton (Sandy), four grandchildren - Mickey Jamieson, Tyson Jamieson, Andrew Thornton, and Nicolas Thornton - and six great grandchildren.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Ron VanBooven, her parents, and five brothers.
