Patricia Ann (Grote) Soukup

Patricia “Patti” Ann Soukup - a caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend - left this world too soon, on December 10th, 2024 at the age of 64.

A memorial will be held from 1 PM to 3 PM, Saturday, December 21, 2024, with a Time of Remembrance to follow from 3 PM to 4 PM at Bach-Yager Funeral Home in Columbia, MO. 

Patti was born April 23rd, 1960 to Ansel and Martha Lou Grote, one of nine children. She graduated from Bowling Green High School and attended Pike-Lincoln Technical Center after. She tried her hand at many jobs, but eventually found her calling as a dental assistant, which she proudly did for over 20 years. She loved to spend time with her daughters and their families, but her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She also loved to go to wineries with her sister, caring for her yard (sometimes a bit too much), painting, and crafting with both glass and resin.

Patti leaves behind her daughters Kayla Aitkens (Eli) and Megan Gipson (Joe); 5 grandchildren, Emma Wilson, Ewan Aitkens, Kylee Wilson, Jace Aitkens, Charlee Gipson; 5 brothers, Wayne, Bob, Larry, Harry, Joe; a sister, Betty; and many nieces and nephews.

Patti was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Tom and John Grote; sister-in-law Michelle Grote, and one son-in-law Kyle Wilson.
