Patricia Ann (Frederick) Burks

Patricia Ann Frederick Burks, 86, of Columbia, formerly of St. Charles, Missouri and Florence, Alabama, passed away January 1, 2026.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 16, 2026, at Columbia Cemetery, Columbia, Missouri.

Patricia was born in Haleyville, Alabama, March 13, 1939, daughter of Vaulter and Imogene (Knight) Frederick and they preceded her death.

She married Charles Derl Burks on June 6, 1958, in Florence, Alabama. Charles preceded her in death in 2017 after 59 years of marriage.

Patricia spent many years managing mobile home parks in St. Charles and Columbia. She and Charles spent many years traveling the country with their motor home club. Even going white water rafting when she was in her 70’s. In addition to enjoying traveling, she enjoyed spending winters in Florida.

Patricia is survived by her children Charles “Fred” (Stephanie) Burks, Travis Derrel Burks, and Cindy L. Burks all of Columbia. Patricia was blessed with four wonderful grandchildren Andy (Nicole) Burks, Brian (Hillary) Burks, Hunter Travis Burks and Hayden Elizabeth Burks of Columbia. She considered herself to be very blessed to have four great-grandchildren, Aubree, Sawyer, Harper and MacKenzie all of Columbia. Patricia is survived by her brother Bill (Susan) of Owensboro, KY, sisters in-law and brothers-in-law Marva and Bill Brethrick and Tony and Shirley Burks, all of Florence, Alabama. Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Gail Frederick, great-nephew Cory Thomas, nephews Bart Fredrick and Bret Frederick. Sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jeannine Burks Mason and Lewis Mason, Jr.
