Obituary

Pamela Andrena Noland
1968 – 2023

Pam was born in Independence, Missouri on February 29, 1968.

She graduated from Rock Bridge High School in Columbia, Missouri in 1986 and Merrill University in Jefferson City, Missouri in 1987 with a degree in Cosmetology.

On April 30, 1988, she married Larry Noland.  Two years later, shortly after the birth of their first child Cory, Pam and Larry both surrendered their lives to Jesus and accepted Him as their Savior.  Together, they served the Lord at Open Door Baptist Church in Columbia and welcomed two more children, Matthew and Andrena.

Pam’s love for her Lord and family were evident to everyone who met her, and her bright smile and beautiful laugh lit up any room she entered.

In 1998, the family moved to Jacksonville, Florida where both she and Larry attended Bible school.  In addition to attending school, Pam also homeschooled their three children and served faithfully in the married student ministry at the college.

In 2002, Larry and Pam were accepted with All Points Baptist Mission to serve as missionaries in the Western Canadian Artic, an area largely unreached with the gospel.  With three children in tow, they left everything behind in the states to share the gospel and care for the people in the remote village of Aklavik.  Alongside ministering with Larry through their church, Pam helped start and was the director for the community garden and greenhouse for several years.

In 2021, Pam was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer.  After 20 years serving the Lord in Aklavik, Pam and Larry returned to the states so Pam could receive the cancer treatment she needed.  In April of 2022, they joined Sweet Springs Baptist Church in Huntsville, Missouri where they continued to serve the Lord together.  Pam taught ladies and children about the Lord and helped support young homeschool families.

As the cancer spread and Pam’s homegoing became imminent, Pam and Larry traveled to Callahan, Florida to spend the remaining weeks of her life with their children, their daughters-in-law and 3 grandsons, Walker, Chase and Everett.

Holding Larry’s hand, Pam went home to heaven on August 7, 2023, where she is finally whole.  She is preceded in death by her mother, Norma Whitmarsh-Stocker and her two grandchildren, Rylan and Haven Noland.

On earth, her legacy o love for the Lord and family continues through her husband, Larry, son Cory, daughter-in-law Shelley (sons Walker and Chase), son Matthew and daughter-in-law Annah (son Everett), daughter Andrena and her father-in-law and mother-in-law Irvin and Janet Noland.

Services honoring Pam’s life will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Sweet Springs Baptist Church, 1027 County Road 2445, Huntsville, Missouri with Pastor Dennis Schaffer officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will follow the service at the Fayette City Cemetery in Fayette, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to The World Mission Center at Sweet Springs Baptist Church.
