Naomi Lyon Obituary

Naomi Lyon, 84, of Armstrong, MO passed away on November 10, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Naomi was born on January 30, 1941, in Liberty, MO to the late Logan and Roseinna Knight Stevens.  She graduated from Fayette High School in 1959.  On April 24, 1959, Naomi married the love of her life, George “Tommy” Lyon in Fayette, MO.  They have enjoyed sixty-six years of marriage and have three children.

Naomi was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She loved a good story and had a great belly laugh.  She was a member of Sharon Bible Church and enjoyed spending time at the Fayette Senior Center.  Naomi was the local Avon sales associate for many years, and her family especially enjoyed her fried chicken with real mashed potatoes and gravy.

Naomi will be missed by her husband; daughter, Becky (Sammy) Breid of Paris, MO; sons, Greg (Marcia) Lyon and Matthew (Valeri) Lyon of Armstrong; her sister, Mary Tipton of Rocheport, MO; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and one sister.

Funeral services honoring Naomi’s life will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Sharon Bible Church near Armstrong.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will follow the funeral at Sharon Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Sharon Cemetery or the Fayette Senior Center.
