Nancy Leona Miller, 82, Sturgeon, MO passed away on February 16, 2025.
Nancy was born in Harvey, Illinois on August 27, 1942, to the late Lester and Adriana (Greenway) Albrecht.
Nancy lived her life to the fullest, enjoying many adventures and unique experiences. She was a talented photographer who specialized in black and white photos, developing her own pictures in her dark room. She had a lifelong dream of going up in a hot air balloon and her friends and family surprised her on her 50th birthday to provide her with just that. She was ecstatic and spoke of floating through the air as one of the highlights of her life. Many years ago she worked diligently to help ensure that the Avenue Theater in West Plains, MO was revived to bring the acting arts to all citizens of the area. It survives til this day and she was so happy that school aged children still do plays there.
The absolute most important thing in the world to her was her family. Spending time talking with and listening to them, providing many hugs or a shoulder to cry on if needed. Or definitely making sure no one ever left her house hungry.
Her pure heart and bright light shone through every day and the world is now a darker place without her. She is desperately missed by her family but they know that wherever she has gone on to, all there are lucky to have her around.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Michele Rodgers and son-in-law Curtis, sisters Laura Schram and Mary Ann, three grandchildren, Kevin, Tori (Dom) and Charish (Shane) and numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and extended family.
