Melvin Paul Biesemeyer, 83, of Moberly, MO passed away May 22, 2025, at Moberly Regional Hospital.
Melvin was born on May 28, 1941, a son of the late Florence “BeeZee” and Merle Crump Biesemeyer. He was a 1959 graduate of New Franklin High School. He married Teresa Hoffman on July 23, 1997, and she preceded him in death. Melvin was a member of the United Church of Christ and the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed watching car racing and putting together model racing cars. Prior to retirement, Melvin was employed in professional maintenance with the American Red Cross office in Columbia and also with the Columbia Public Schools.
He is survived by his son, Kelvin Lee Biesemeyer and wife, Penny (Busker) of Fredericktown, MO; stepdaughters, Betty Redmon and Bobbie Murray; grandchildren, Bobbie Lee Wulff, Kasey Lee Biesemeyer, John Kody Lee Biesemeyer, Kolton Lee Biesemeyer, Klayton Paul Biesemeyer, Tristan Redmon, Claire Murray and Chase Murray; his great grandchildren; his former wife, Cecelia Coy Young; as well as other family members and friends.
Funeral services honoring Melvin’s life will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Markland-Yager Funeral Home in New Franklin. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in New Franklin.
