Mary Jane Cleeton

Mary Jane Cleeton, 66, of New Franklin, passed away at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis on August 28, 2024.

Mary Jane Cleeton was born in Kirksville, MO on June 26, 1958, a daughter of William Cleeton, Jr. and Martha Brush Cleeton.  She had previously been employed with Baxter/Cardinal Health in Moberly, MO.  Mary enjoyed the outdoors, especially working on the farm and boating at the Lake of the Ozarks.

She is survived by her children, Timothy Carr and wife Shawna of Moberly and Tammy Tolson and husband Vincent of Columbia; her mother, Martha Cleeton of New Franklin; a brother, Gary “Bill” Cleeton of Salisbury; a sister, Wanda Cleeton of Higbee; grandchildren, Damon Tolson, Shayla Hampton, Ashya Hampton, Shayelina Carr, Shyellen Carr, Shanarae Carr and Thor Carr; great grandchildren, Junior Tolson and Brance Tolson as well as several aunts, uncles and other relatives.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, William “Junior” Cleeton; a brother, Larry Cleeton; a granddaughter, Brittany Tolson and a great-granddaughter, Amaya Tolson.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Markland-Yager Funeral Home of New Franklin.
