Mary Sue (Dozier) Beeler

Mary Sue Beeler, 91, of Columbia, peacefully passed away on September 10, 2024.

She was born in Boone County on April 27, 1933, to the late Arlie and Joella (Lamm) Dozier.  She attended grade school in Huntsdale and graduated from Hickman High School before going on to attend Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska before graduating from the University of Missouri. She taught school in Boone County at Rocheport, Wade School, and Midway Heights.  She was a Blueprint Reader for Hewley Electric for 13 years before going into farming, enjoying raising cattle.  She was active in the Columbia Seventh-day Adventist Church and Huntsdale Baptist Church. She was an accomplished musician who loved music and loved playing the organ for her church.

Mary Sue leaves to mourn her loss, a first cousin, Mary Alice Winn, and many dear friends and acquaintances.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel with a visitation starting at 10:00 a.m.  Burial will follow the service at Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Huntsdale Baptist Church or the Columbia Seventh-day Adventist Church
