Mark Landon Weston, 68, of Columbia passed away June 27, 2026, at his home lovingly cared for by his wife, Cheryl.

Mark was born in Boonville on December 26, 1957, a son of Ernest and Vivian “Be” Landon Weston.  He was united in marriage at the First Baptist Church in New Franklin to his wife, Cheryl on September 5, 2015.

His first job was with the family business, Weston Drilling and Pump Company in New Franklin and he later worked with MBS Book Exchange, MU Student Center and American Outdoors all of Columbia.  Mark was a member since childhood of the First Baptist Church in New Franklin.  He enjoyed spending time on the Weston Family Farm, traveling with his wife, Cheryl, cruising area gravel roads, driving and working on his canary yellow 1973 Mach I Mustang and watching his favorite show, The Dukes of Hazzard.  His family remembers him as being laid back, easy going with a great sense of humor.  He always said he was never going to grow up.  He especially loved getting his nieces and nephews to think Grandma Be had an elephant in the basement of her farmhouse.

Mark is lovingly remembered by his wife, Cheryl; siblings, Marilyn Porter (Glenn), Paul Weston (Brenda), Jim Weston (Jenny) and Vivian Zey (Keith); sister-in-law, Kim Weston; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Vivian “Be” Weston and a brother, David Weston.

Services celebrating and honoring Mark’s life will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, July 6, 2026, at the First Baptist Church in New Franklin with Pastor Ken Stacey officiating.  Visitation will be from noon until time of service on Monday at the church.

His place of rest will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in New Franklin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Mt. Zion Baptist Youth Camp or the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Association.
