Mark Allen Hundley, Sr., 60, of Glasgow and formerly of Franklin, passed away June 6, 2025, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
Mark was born in Fayette on February 25, 1965, a son of James R. Hundley and Becca Wells Hundley. He married the love of his life, Kimberly Deanne Norris, on November 12, 1982. Mark attended Columbia Trucking School and became a truck driver, and his happiest time was when he started Hundley Family Trucking and worked alongside his son. In his younger years he also worked as a logger.
Mark enjoyed coon hunting and his fox hounds in earlier years. Most of all he loved his family, taking great pride in his grandchildren, doing his best never to miss one of their baseball or softball games. Mark also previously served on the Howard County Fire Protection District at Station 2 in New Franklin.
Mark is survived by his wife, Kimberly of their home; his mother and step-pop, Becca and Lyn Garven; mother-in-law, Geraldine Norris; son, James Hundley; daughter, Tammie (Aaron) Hixon; brothers, Jim (Sheryl) Bailey, John Hundley and Larry Dale Hundley; sister, Tina (Geremiah) Braun and by his much loved grandchildren, Brian Goetz, Kayce Hundley, Justin Hundley, Debbie Hundley, Jayna (Adian) Robb, Samuel Wilkerson, Zachary Greer, Patricia Greer, Daniela Howard and Heaven-Lee Hundley. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his father, James R. Hundley; son, Mark Allen Hundley, Jr.; brother, Eric “Bubba” Hundley; grandparents, Osa and Joe Wells and Norma and Walter Hundley and his father-in-law, Don Norris.
Funeral services honoring Mark’s life will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Markland-Yager Funeral Home in New Franklin with Pastor David Purvis officiating. Burial will be at Boonesboro Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from noon until the time of service on Thursday.
