Marilyn Ann Carmack


1945 – 2022


Marilyn Ann Carmack, 76, a resident of New Franklin, passed away September 1, 2022 at The Lodge in Fayette.


Marilyn was born on September 23, 1945 in Fayette a daughter of Marvin Elwood Rawlings and Elba Glow Shipe Rawlings.  Prior to retirement, Marilyn was employed as a respiratory therapist at Guadalupe Valley Hospital in Seguin, Texas and as a nurse aid at Keller Hospital in Fayette.  She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family and working in her yard.


Survivors include a daughter, Leslie Allen of New Franklin; a son, Danny Allen and wife, Sharon of New Franklin; a brother, Johnny (Judy) Rawlings of Vichy, Missouri; a grandson, Dylan (Melissa) Estill of New Franklin; two great-grandchildren, Holly and Grady Estill; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Jeannie Estill and by two special nieces, Charla (Susan) and Lisa who had a special relationship with Marilyn as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.


She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim “J.C.” Carmack and by two brothers, Edwin “Bud” and Raymond Estill.


A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.


Memorial contributions are suggested to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
