Margaret Lynn Berger, 78, Columbia, passed away on June 12, 2025.
Margaret was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma in May, 1947, to the late James Kenyon and Margaret Edith (Hink) Walker. On June 12, 1965, she married Bob Berger in Overland Park, Kansas. She passed away on their 60th wedding anniversary.
Sweet, loving, and intelligent, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and earned a master’s degree in education. She had a natural gift with small children. She was skilled as a supervisor and therapist. She had experience with childcare, disabled children and adults, and worked with the organization Family Facets to help families in crisis improve childcare skills to keep children at home.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Bob; daughter, Laura King (Andy); and two grandchildren, Katherine Caraway (Blake) and their son, Ethan; and Jenna Jolley (Connor Case) and their children, Levi Jolley, Lennox Jolley, Emerlynn Case and Payton Case.
Margaret was also preceded in death by two siblings, Robert Walker and Barbara Stephens.

Graveside Service will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 23, 2025, at the Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel, 1610 N. Garth Ave., Columbia, Missouri.
