Louise Margaret (Regone) Pagliai

New Franklin resident, Louise Pagliai passed away July 4, 2021 at Ashley Manor in Boonville with her daughters by her side.  She was 88 years old.

Mrs. Pagliai was born August 9, 1932 in Attica, Iowa to Thomas and Edith Regone.  Her childhood was lived in Oak Creek, Colorado and she longed to return to the mountains.

Louise married Roland Pagliai of Bevier, Missouri on December 29, 1948.  They were blessed with three daughters, Linda Robb of Boonville, Theresa Didion of St. Peters and Tina Fouts of Ozark.

Louise worked in Boonville at the Selwyn Shoe Factory and at the time of retirement worked at Toastmaster also in Boonville.  Her interests included family time, gardening, eating out, cooking and caring for her many beloved pets.  She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to her husband for many years as he battled Alzheimer’s Disease.

Mom will be missed by her three daughters, Linda Robb (Barry), Theresa Didion (Michael) and Tina Fouts (Tony); a sister, Donna Manning; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Pagliai was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two sisters, Catherine Jennings and Joanne Chaves. 

Louise’s family would like to express their appreciation for the loving care she was provided by Hometown Homecare and Ashley Manor during her illness.

She was a member of Christ Church Episcopal, 524 4^th Street, Boonville, Missouri where her Celebration of Life will be held on August 7, 2021 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.  The Celebration of Life will begin with a service at 1:00 PM followed by a time of refreshments and fellowship until 4:00 PM.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Christ Church Episcopal in Boonville or any animal welfare organization of the donor’s choice.
