Laura Jean (Moore) Miller

Laura Jean Miller, 52, of Columbia, unexpectedly went home to her Lord on September 6, 2023.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Parkade Baptist Church.  Family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until time for the service. 

Laura was born in Parma, Ohio to Alan and Barbara Moore.  She recently celebrated the twenty-sixth anniversary of her marriage to Dennis Miller and she was the mother of two sons, Chuck and Kenny. Laura was a member of Parkade Baptist Church.  She worked for Columbia Public Schools, most recently as a Health Secretary at the Center of Early Learning North.

Laura loved people, especially her family, and being a mom.  She gave a lot of herself to family and friends.  Her favorite time of year was Christmas for baking, decorating and hosting parties.  A 14-year cancer survivor, Laura was a traveler and flower gardener.

Laura is survived by her husband, Dennis; two sons, Chuck and Kenny; her mother, Barbara; a brother, Richard Moore; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dennis, Sr. and Kenlyn Miller.

She was preceded in death by her father, Alan.
