Kimberly Jo Davis

Kimberly Jo Davis entered this world on June 2nd, 1972, born and raised in Columbia, Missouri, to her devoted parents Evelyn and Robert Davis. On December 7th, 2024, Kim peacefully departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and inspiration.

She will forever be remembered by her mother mother, Evelyn Roundtree, three daughters: Moriah Proctor (33), Destiny Mason (22), and Jada Davis (15), as well as her beloved grandchildren, Alajun Proctor and Darren Johnson. Kim also leaves behind her brothers Regis McBride, Donnell McBride, Ronnell McBride, and Robert Davis Jr., and her sister Angela McBride.

Kim was preceded in death by her father, Robert Davis, and her nephew, David "Poochie" McBride.

Kim was a pillar in her community, loved by many for her kind heart, warm personality, and gift for bringing people together. She especially found joy in hosting parties and gatherings where her exceptional cooking brought smiles to countless faces. In 2006, Kim and her best friend Kamika turned their passion for food into K&K's Catering. What began with selling plates from their home grew into serving their community in T&H, a small local restaurant.

Throughout her life, Kim held several management positions in the culinary industry—her true calling. Her most recent role was at Job Point Center in Columbia, Missouri. Even as her health declined, Kim never stopped dreaming. She began working with the Chamber of Commerce to pursue her entrepreneurial journey, and in 2021, proudly earned her LaunchU Certification through the Missouri Women's Business Center. Her dream was to open a food truck or local restaurant where she could continue sharing her love of cooking with the world.

Kim left an unforgettable impact on all who knew her. Her love, strength, and ambition inspired those around her, and her memory will live on through her family, friends, and the many lives she touched. Today, we celebrate her beautiful spirit and her new life with the Lord.

A Celebration of Kim’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 20, 2024, at Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel with the family receiving friends from 1:00 p.m. until time for the service.
