Judy Frances Eatherton, 81, passed away peacefully at her home in New Franklin.
Judy was born January 1, 1942, in Boonville, the daughter of Orval F. Eatherton and Phoebe (Odom) Eatherton.
Judy was raised in a Christian home, for which she was very thankful. She grew up and graduated from high school in New Franklin. After graduation, she attended Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. After college, she started her accounting career working for MFA Insurance and worked at Harry S. Truman Veterans Memorial Hospital until her retirement.
She was a charter member of Bible Baptist Church in New Franklin where she served as a Sunday School teacher, treasurer, bus ministry and soloist.
Survivors include her sister, Sharon Snodgrass; two sisters-in-law, Peggy Cook and Dana Eatherton; seven nieces, April Reuter, Judy Ann and Shara Eatherton, Christa McCrillis, Carla Marcum, Christie Cottle and Crystal Persinger; three nephews, Orval F. (Duke) Eatherton III, Tim and Matthew Snodgrass; great nieces, Danielle, Leah, Madison, Haley, Keira, Amanda, and Heather; great nephews, Phillip, Daniel, Jackson, Shelby, Davis, Christian , Zachary, Jake, Timothy G. and Kevin; numerous great-great nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Carl Wayne Cook and Orval F. (Duke) Eatherton Jr.;one sister, Loretta Loftis; three nephews, Willie, Todd and Doug Saulter; and one great niece Joy McCrillis.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at Bible Baptist Church in New Franklin with Pastor Tim Miller and Pastor Daniel McCrillis officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow the services in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
