Judy Lee Blacklock, 78, of Columbia passed away September 9, 2024 at home surrounded by family. Judy was born February 17, 1946 to Robert and Pearl (Martin) Snodgrass. She graduated from Hickman High School, class of 1964. Judy worked as a florist at Park Manor Flowers & Gifts until she became employed with The University Hospital and Clinics where she worked in several clinics and departments until she retired in 2001 after 20 years. She also worked part time as a bartender at the Best Western Columbia Inn - Haymarket. After retirement, Judy enjoyed traveling to Arizona and Florida and taking cruises with her husband Ron. She loved vacationing with her kids and grandchildren. When she wasn’t traveling, she enjoyed buying and selling items as a dealer at Itchys Flea Market.
She is survived by her husband Ron of 22 years and two daughters, Kelly Cook and husband Michael of St Croix, US Virgin Islands; Carla Lewis and husband Jay of Ashland; three grandchildren, Maggie Lewis, Ginny Lewis and Charlie Lewis; one great - grandson, Jase Lewis.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Patricia Snodgrass, Jackie Baugh, and Martha Lou Hathman. We thank Phoenix Home Care and Hospice for the care and kindness shown to her.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Bach-Yager Funeral Home of Columbia. A visitation and time for remembrance will be held at Bach - Yager Funeral Home on Wednesday September 18, 2024 at 10:00 am with a service following at 11:00 am. Judy will be interred at Jacksonville Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville MO at a later date.
