Joseph Allen Yingling

Joseph Allen Yingling, 83, of Columbia, MO passed away October 5, 2024, at the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans’ Hospital.

Joseph was born in Edgar Springs, Missouri, a son of the late Howard and Marie (Lafferty) Yingling.  He married Patsy Heavin on June 29, 1974, in Edgar Springs, Missouri. He faithfully served his country for 22 years in the Marines, Army, and Air Force during the Vietnam War.  He was employed for many years in the kitchen at the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans’ Hospital, until his retirement in 2014.  Joseph attended Prairie Grove Baptist Church in Columbia and was a member of Edgar Springs Baptist Church. 

Joseph is survived by a son, Matthew Yingling and a daughter, Michelle (Michael) Beier, and grandson, Joey Beier, all of Columbia.

A Celebration of Life honoring Joseph will be held in the spring.
