Jon Christopher Gautier

Jon Christopher Gautier, 68, of New Franklin, passed away at his home on October 5, 2021.

Jon was born in Boonville on January 4, 1953 a son of the late Joseph Gautier and Dorothy Overstreet Gautier.  He married Linda Kommrau on October 8, 2013 and she survives at their home.  Prior to retirement, Jon was employed with Fuqua Homes and Wal-Mart both in Boonville.  He was the grateful recipient of a liver transplant in 2015.  Jon loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed being a grandfather “PaPa” to Lilly, Jensen and Peyton.  Jon was a gentle soul who was much liked by everyone who knew him and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Jon is survived by their sons, Richard Kommrau and Jason Hill; his grandchildren, Lilly, Jensen and Peyton; his four brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Flo Gautier, Eddie and Joyce Gautier, Rick and Marcia Gautier and Mike and Joyce Gautier; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services celebrating and honoring Jon’s life will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Markland-Yager Funeral Home in New Franklin.  Inurnment will take place at a later date at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in New Franklin.
