John Olvera Obituary

John Ramon Olvera, 57 of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away at his home on Friday, August 27, 2021 after a brief but fierce battle with cancer, with his family by his side.

John was well known through the business he and his wife Conni own, Get Official (GetOfficial.com), scouting in the Heart of America (Kansas City) Council, KC FishMasters and his plumbing expertise.

John is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Conni; two boys he was very proud of, Joseph “Joey” and Jacob “Jake”; a Daughter-in-Love Anna and their beautiful granddaughter, Aurora, all a bright light in his life. He is also survived by his brother, Sean and his father, John J. Olvera, both strong pillars of his family life.  John’s Mother and Grandparents preceded him in death.

The Olvera family was very active in Boy Scouts, leading Troop 337 for decades. John will be missed by many scouts, friends and extended family.

Please do not feel obligated to contribute monetarily, as John's love for his family will live on and sustain them in the days ahead. If you are so inclined, any donations in his memory will be used to create a lasting tribute for his granddaughter, Aurora "Lil Bit", who kept him fighting until the very end.

Memorial contributions in honor of John Olvera, as a tribute to his granddaughter, may be made payable to Conni Olvera and directed to Carr-Yager Funeral Home, P.O. Box 210, Fayette, MO. 65248; Tel: 1-660-248-2244.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 PM, Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at William E. Macken Park-Shelter 1 in North Kansas City, MO.  The park’s physical address is 1002 Clark Ferguson Drive, North Kansas City, MO, however to get to Shelter 1 directly, once arriving, the shelter is located between 30th and 31st Streets & Howell St. with parking along the side street.
