Jo Ann Meredith

1939 – 2020

Jo Ann Meredith, 81, of Prairie Home, MO, passed away May 28, 2020 at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics.  Jo Ann was born in Sterling, CO on May 18, 1939 a daughter of Joseph and Carla Aamodt Mathis.

Prior to retirement, she was owner/operator of the Wig Outlet in Lakewood, CO.  She was an artist and enjoyed painting in oil and watercolors.  She designed the Northeast Community College mascot “Pistol Pete.”

Survivors include three children, Caroline Bryan of Prairie Home, Kevin Gibson and Christopher Gibson both of Denver, CO; a sister, Corinne Christenson of Denver; seven grandchildren, Ryan Shull, Sara McGuire, Autumn Bryan, Sean Gibson, Eric Gibson, Matthew Gibson and Ian Gibson.  Also surviving are three great-grandchildren and three nieces, Andrea Christenson, Clarice Bruce and Heather Doorly.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sharon Bruce.

Jo Ann’s remains will be returned to Colorado for a family memorial service.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
