Hazel Kosfeld

Hazel Josephine Kosfeld, 86, of Franklin, MO passed away August 7, 2021 at her home.

Hazel was born in Boonesboro on August 6, 1935 a daughter of John and Ruth Gilmore Isle.  She married William “Bill” Kosfeld on January 15, 1969 and he preceded her in death.  Prior to retirement, she was the owner and operator of Green Thumb Nursery and had also been employed in the restaurant business.  Hazel enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family, oil painting, putting together puzzles, antiquing and making fudge.

Survivors include a son, John Waller of Columbia and a daughter, Andrea Boggs and husband, Shannon of Franklin; a brother, Kenneth Von Isle of New Franklin; three grandchildren, Amanda Ladd, Joseph and John Boggs and a great-granddaughter, Pearl.

In addition to her husband and parents, Hazel was preceded in death by two daughters, Tina Seabaugh and Carol Neel and by five sisters, Irene, Jane, Johnnie Fay, Dixie and Lurline.

Graveside services honoring Hazel’s life will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Clarks Chapel Cemetery, Franklin, MO.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Clarks Chapel Cemetery Association.
