Gary David Scholl

Gary David Scholl, 77, of Tipton, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026. He was born June 2, 1948, in Columbia, to the late Roy Scholl and Dorothy Draffen. 

Gary was employed by Moniteau County Road and Bridge for over 30 years. He was also a fire captain for the Fortuna Volunteer Fire Protection District. In his free time, Gary enjoyed riding motorcycles and collecting and restoring toy tractors. He was known to many as a great storyteller. 

Gary is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Burkhart and Linda Smith; one son, Roy Scholl (Jordan); and four grandchildren, Blake Scholl, Dayson Davis, Benjamin Davis, and Lacey Davis.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Scholl; two sisters, Margaret Salzman and Amy Gee; and his wife, Virginia Scholl.

A memorial service will be held on May 9, 2026 from 2-4pm at Tipton United Methodist Church in the Fellowship Hall. There will be a graveside service at Tipton City Cemetery following church services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any charity of choice.
