Esther Young Obituary

Esther Mary (Jones) Young, 64, of Columbia, Missouri, had a joyous reunion with her parents on April 19, 2021. She was born January 21, 1957 to James Ernest Jones and Esther Wilma Sunderlin in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Following service in the US Army, she lived in Missouri for most of her adult life, enjoying gardening and landscaping for others.

Esther is survived by her children, Jessica Cae Young of Millersburg and James Arthur Young of Columbia. She was especially sad to leave her beloved grandchildren behind, Ezekiel, Kyle, and Fayla. She looks forward to seeing them all again.

Her older siblings include sister Willie (Doug) Braudaway of Del Rio, Texas; and her two brothers, Arthur (Sandy) Jones of Washington and Gary Jones of Texas. The family appreciates the service provided by her good friend, Mary Warren.

Esther’s cremains will be inurned next to her parents in Cedar Rapids, Iowa at a later date.
