Esther Marie (Raney) Fetterhoff

Esther Marie Raney was born August 31, 1940 to Earl and Ruby Taylor Raney. Esther Marie Raney Durk Fetterhoff departed this earth for her heavenly home Thursday evening, July 25, 2024, after battling cancer. One brother, J. L. Raney, preceded her in death in 2005. She has one surviving niece, Dr. Ellen Raney. Esther was raised in a blended family. After her father's death in 1943, her mother married James Beddow in 1946; Esther highly respected her stepfather. With that marriage, three step sisters joined her family; Sherry Kuntz survives. 

On May 17, 1974, Esther married Charles Lee Durk. He preceded her in death on July 25, 1993. On July 1, 1998, Esther married Garry Dan Fetterhoff. He preceded her in death on December 22, 2020. With those marriages, Esther was blessed with two large extended families. Although she never had her own biological child, Esther enjoyed her stepchildren and their families, too numerous to name.

Esther lived a full life with many different roads and by-ways. She was the baby of her family, a parsonage kid, partner in farming, and a career girl with many years of service at Ellis Library, University of Missouri. She enjoyed retirement and fun times with her late husband, Garry. She was a faithful attendee of Rockbridge Church of God (Holiness) and loved hymns, writing, and keeping in touch with her family and extensive faith family around the globe. Esther blessed many with greetings and cards to those she loved.

Esther lost many of her family and extended family across the years. She looked forward with great anticipation to their glad reunion in Heaven!
