Edward Thomas Bard

Edward Thomas Bard, age 65, of Columbia, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Barnes Jewish Hospital.

Edward was born on June 2, 1960, in Chicago, Illinois to Donald and Dorothy (Bowling) Bard. On June 16, 1984, he married Sandra (Thomas), whom he called “his bride”. He worked for Girls Town for eight years and would’ve adopted all of the girls if given the chance.  Edward  was an avid sports fan, watching the Denver Broncos each season.  He loved his grandchildren more than anything and loved looking after them. Edward was known as a hardworker to everyone, but especially his family. Edward was also a United States Navy Veteran.

Edward is survived by his wife Sandra; a son, Michael Bard; four daughters, Melissa Morris, Chirstina Romine, Angel Bard, and Sabrina Pitts; sisters, Sherry Webb and Donna Bard; a brother, Richard Bard; and grandchildren, Lilliana Morris, Jace Morris, Judah Morris, Zevia Pitts, and Davon Pitts Jr.

Edward is preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Bowling and Donald Bard.

A visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 7 , 2026, at the Family Worship Center of Columbia with a memorial service to follow at 12 p.m.
