Donnie Joe Bennett

Donnie Joe Bennett, 84, known as “The Radiator Man”, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family. 

A Celebration of Donnie’s Life will be held at a later date. 

Donnie was born March 16, 1940, in Boone County, Missouri, to the late Edward and Rella (Davis) Bennett.  On July 9, 1968, he married Beverly Whitmarsh in Columbia.  Donnie was employed as a radiator repairman at Woody’s Auto Center for over 20 years before retiring.   He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards.  He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Donnie was a loving, gentle man that will be greatly missed. 

Donnie is survived by his loving wife, Beverly; his children, Ron (Jamie) Bennett and Debbie (Troy Thompson) Evans; three grandchildren, Ashley Rottet, Larry Evans, Aaron Bennett; four great grandchildren, Faith, Klay, Dominick, Alexis; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Donnie was also preceded by eight siblings.
