David Rhea Thomas

David Thomas, 77, of Ashland, passed away on April 20, 2024, at the HST Veterans Hospital.

David was born on November 11, 1946, to the late Robert and Francis (Taylor) Thomas in Little Rock, Arkansas. On August 12, 1967, he married Elizabeth “Ann” Dismukes in Little Rock, Arkansas.  David retired from the United States Navy in 1991 after serving 20 years as Master of Arms.  He served actively in Vietnam in 1968 and 1969.  After retiring from the Navy, he started Leather Crafts and More making leather products and participating in Craft Shows.  He enjoyed working with his hands.

David is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; son, Gary; three grandsons, Steven, Adam and Rhett Boaz; two brothers and two sisters.

David was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, David, Jr. and a daughter, Peggy Boaz.
