David McBride

David McBride, 78, of Columbia, passed away on April 18, 2024.

David was born on March 12, 1946, to the late Charles Edward and Mable (Black) McBride in Hannibal, Missouri. David graduated from Hickman High School in 1964. David served in the United States Army from 1966 – 1968.

David was a man of many talents, he was an artist, musician, mechanic and craftsman. He lived a vibrant life and shared many laughs with those he cherished. His door was always open to his many beloved friends.

David is survived by his daughter, Jesse Benedict (Shannon) and stepson, Caleb Hampton; grandchildren, Austin Bopp and Elizabeth Bopp; great granddaughter, Millicent McGowan (Joseph) and step-great grandson, Hank Hampton; and four siblings, Roy McBride, Donnie McBride, Linda McBride and Mary Nowlin (James).

David was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Andy and Ray, first wife Diane Stroup (Grove), second wife Debbie McBride (Collins), and third wife Lori McBride (Hampton).

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
