David Lee Bemboom

David Lee Bemboom, 74, Columbia, passed away unexpectedly on February 14th, 2025.

David was born in Jefferson City, Missouri on July 2, 1950, to the late Harry and Hilda (Bock) Bemboom. On September 12, 1970, he married Kathy Ambrose in Jefferson City. Kathy passed away on September 13th, 1988. On February 29th, 1992, he was united in marriage to Mary Ruth Speichinger in Columbia, and she preceded him in death on January 24th, 2024. On January 23, 2025, David married Theresa Cannady in Columbia.

David was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Columbia.  He was a long-time member of Laborers Local Union #955. David enjoyed farming with his late wife Mary, caring for his cattle, playing pinochle, and beekeeping.

David is survived by two brothers, Larry (Melba) Bemboom and Andrew (Becky) Bemboom, two sisters, Kathy (John) Schroer and Mary Ellen (Donald) Benne, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

David was also preceded in death by two siblings, Harry Bemboom Jr, and Shirley Hutinger.

The Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 28, 2025, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Entombment will follow the service at the St. Peter Cemetery in Jefferson City.
