Connie Loretta (Schnedler) Martin

Connie Loretta Martin, 73, passed away on January 22, 2024, at Boone Hospital Center.

Connie was born February 23, 1950, in Burlington, Iowa, to the late Robert L. and Mildred E. (Moore) Schnedler. 

Connie will be remembered for her love of decorating and crafting.  She loved holidays and hosted parties for all of them.  She and Andy loved to travel and to attend concerts.  Her favorite destinations were New Orleans and Charleston.  She never claimed to be a great cook, but we will truly miss her pancakes with peanut butter, her meatloaf and her New Year’s Day pozole.  She spent her time after retiring from the State Hospital in Fulton spoiling her granddaughter, volunteering at non-profits in Columbia and collecting purses & shoes.  Her family was the most important thing in her life, and she made sure we all felt her love.  She was a loyal and generous friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

Connie is survived by her partner, love, and best friend Andrew Asbridge; her son, Cliff Salmons (Jennifer); beloved granddaughter, Emily Anna; siblings, Robert Schnedler and Cheryl Lorenz; sister-in-law Debbie Schnedler; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father Charlie Wales; four siblings, Roger, Richard and Rodney Schnedler and Sandy Pippin; brother-in-law Paul Lorenz and sister-in-law Linda Schnedler.

Connie will be interred next to her family that passed before her in Nevada, MO. A private service will be held in the spring.
