Cash Michael Martin, 15, Columbia, passed away as a result of a motorcycle accident on Monday, March 6, 2023.
Celebration of Life service will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, March 10, 2023, at The Crossing, 3615 Southland Dr., Columbia. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m.
Cash was born April 5, 2007, in Columbia to Michael G. Martin and Maranda L. Croy. Cash was a sophomore at Rockbridge High School. He was very athletic and involved in many athletics in his fifteen years: Rockbridge Baseball 2022, #19; Christian Fellowship Basketball 2021; Gentry Football Manager and played Basketball 2019; All-Star Baseball 2018 and 2019; Blue Thunder Track Team with a trip to the Junior Olympics Houston 2016 competing in 1500 meter; several 5K runs with College Park Christian Academy beginning in 2012; Upward Basketball; Diamond Council Baseball; Daniel Boone Little League, Mavericks; Southside Baseball and one season of soccer, age 4, with Columbia Parks and Recreation. Cash was an entrepreneur, organized and a hard worker. He saved and invested, purchasing his very own truck in anticipation of his upcoming 16th birthday. Cash worked after practices, after school, weekends, summers and all night if needed, for his father’s business America Mow & Snow. Cash also worked for Mid-State Grading LLC and Keystone Temporary Services. He was called on by friends for mechanical knowledge in any and all vehicle issues. He was always ready to help whenever he was asked. Cash loved 4 wheeling; wave runners; fishing, boating and the beach.
Cash is survived by his parents, Michael G Martin and Maranda L Croy; his sisters: Alexis Croy, Karma Vaughn, Sophia Martin; brother, Legend Miller; grandparents, David and Margaret Martin; Randy Croy and Kathy Perkins. Aunts: Jamie Martin and Melissa Williams, and several cousins.
