Cara Lynne Strother, 43, of Boonville passed away at her home on October 24, 2021.
Cara was born in Jefferson City on March 13, 1978 a daughter of Howard and Alma Brown Strother. She attended State Fair Community College receiving an Associate’s Degree in Business. Cara had previously been employed with Midwest Auto Works, Mr. Goodscents and A and W in Boonville. Cara’s favorite hobbies and activities included rock hunting, online shopping, painting, crafts, puzzles, eating Central Dairy Ice Cream, enjoying her favorite pies, drinking coffee and watching old cartoons.
Survivors include her son, Elijah Pearcy of Boonville; two daughters, Halee Strother of Boonville and Cloee Strother of Franklin; a sister, Lisa Trent of Kansas City; a brother, Cory Strother of Kansas City and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and caring friends. Cara is also survived by special companions, Stormy the Cat and Waylon the Dog.
Cara was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Alma Strother and by the love of her life, Michael Shane Sweezer. She was also preceded in death by Coco the Dog.
Services honoring Cara’s life will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 29, 2021 at Markland-Yager Funeral Home in New Franklin with Pastor David Hartgrove officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Family burial will take place at a later date at Boonesboro Cemetery.
