Brenda Lynn (Gaddis) Carter

Brenda Lynn Carter, 69, of Columbia, MO passed away April 15, 2025, at the University of Missouri Hospital.

Brenda was born in Phoenix, AZ on February 23, 1956, a daughter of Gilbert and Grace Janet Estes Gaddis.  She earned her master’s degree and was a mental health counselor and therapist and had practiced at Burell Behavioral Health and Centerpointe Hospital.  Brenda enjoyed watching westerns on television, working on puzzles and reading.

She is survived by her children, Nathan Carter (Patricia Dartt), Cory Carter (Sara) and Jennifer Carter and by her grandchildren, Logan and Bryce Carter.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Brent and Bill Gaddis.

In lieu of a memorial service, memorial contributions to honor her memory are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
