Blair Velarde Johnston, 25, of Los Angeles, California, formerly of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away in August 2020 at University Hospital & Clinics in Columbia, Missouri.
Blair was born on November 23, 1994, in Little Rock, the daughter of Marcela Johnston.
Blair graduated Salutatorian of Episcopal Collegiate High School in Little Rock in 2013. She graduated from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island in 2017 with a focus in creative writing.
After college, Blair pursued her passion of working in Hollywood. Blair worked for the Story Department at Amblin Partners, the production company led by Steven Spielberg, in Los Angeles, California until shortly before her death. Blair enjoyed improve comedy, writing, and dancing.
Blair is survived by her mother, Marcela Johnston of Little Rock; sister, Randall Johnston (Thomas Bennett) and two nieces, Bennett and Evan Johnston, of Columbia, Missouri.
A Celebration of Life is being planned later in Little Rock.
