Beverly “Bev” Sue Gallup
1956 – 2025
It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Beverly "Bev" Sue Gallup, 68, of Millersburg, who peacefully left us in the early hours of March 18, 2025.
Bev was a woman of simple joys and endless love. She cherished the quiet moments spent fishing with her beloved husband, John. Together, they created many memories—whether they were exploring the treasures at outdoor flea markets and auctions or sharing quiet laughter as they reminisced about the past. Bev had an uncanny gift for finding the most extraordinary treasures in the most unexpected places, and her family and friends will always remember her infectious excitement when she hit big on the penny slots at the boat.
But more than any hobby or collection, Bev’s heart belonged to her family. Her greatest joy came from spending time with loved ones, especially during the holidays. She adored watching others’ faces light up as they opened gifts and gathered around the table, sharing meals, laughter, and love. In those moments, Bev felt truly fulfilled. When she wasn’t surrounded by family, you could often find her enjoying classic TV shows, or perhaps indulging in her daily ritual of watching The Steve Wilkos Show, always with a keen eye for drama and a warm smile.
Bev leaves behind a loving husband of 42 years, John Gallup Jr, with whom she shared a life full of love, laughter, and memories. She is also survived by her two sons, Bryan Calvert and Durrel Proctor Jr. (Michelle), her siblings, Judy Reece and Robert Calvert, her cherished grandchildren Alecia, Elizabeth, Jimmy, Brynnon, Jacob, Stephen, Tabatha, Dillon, Kourtney, Heather, Donamick and several great-grandchildren who will always carry her memory in their hearts.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gladys Skaggs and Louie Calvert, her brothers Howard Calvert, Jackie “Donnie” Calvert, and Carl Calvert, and her step-sons Jay Gallup, Mitchell Gallup and Jason Gallup—each of whom she loved deeply.
Bev's spirit will live on through the many lives she touched. While we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the joy she brought into our lives. A memorial service to honor Bev’s memory will be announced at a later date.
May she rest in peace, surrounded by love, forever remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
