Barry Lee Trimble, 79, of Boonville and formerly of New Franklin, passed away December 3, 2020 at Riverdell Care Center in Boonville.
Barry was born near Wooldridge, MO on December 11, 1940 a son of Leo and Dorothy Kirshman Trimble. He married Joyce Becker on June 3, 1961. She preceded him in death April 16, 1997. Prior to retirement, Barry had been employed with Booneslick Industries, Hubert Fiberboard, the University of Missouri and had worked in the copper mining industry in Arizona. He was a member of Santa Fe Trail Baptist Church in Boonville and enjoyed fishing and crafts. Barry also valued his time serving on the volunteer fire department in New Franklin.
Survivors include two daughters, Robin Gerke (Ronnie) and Stacy Trimble both of Boonville; four sisters, Peggy Adair, Dixie Betts, Susie Knox and Sherry Wilson; four grandchildren, Michael Bruce, Aaron Trimble, Zachary Gerke and Callie Friedrich and four great-grandchildren, Ashton Jennings, Ava Jennings, Nova Friedrich and Zander Bruce.
In addition to his wife and parents, Barry was preceded in death by a daughter, Bridget Trimble; a brother, Gene Trimble and a sister, Jerry Purvis.
Services honoring Barry’s life will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, December 8 at Markland-Yager Funeral Home in New Franklin. Burial will follow at Clarks Chapel Cemetery in Franklin. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5 – 7 PM at the funeral home.
